You resize the turbo significantly and decrease absolute temperature to the heads. This maxes out the head flow and top end power and the bottom end power from idle is taken up by the e-supercharger. This is a much stronger engine across the entire power band and has no compromises like anything that exists today including 0 turbo lag. It has nothing to do with saving gas and wastes gas more than an Escalade (though that's not the intent). I don't understand what's wrong with the Z's gearing. It's simply a ratio between engine speed and wheel speed. Better gearing can help maintain peak power and offset turbo lag but if you've got the above configuration who cares? You don't need it. You've got peak power everywhere.
